The round worm has a alimentary canal which is a straight tube which extends from mouth to anus. It includes mouth, pharynx, a tubular intestine, a short rectum, and an anus. The worm eats human blood which is pumped from the mouth to to the intestine through the pharynx. The nutrients from the blood are absorbed in the intestine and nutrients in the host cell are also absorbed by the round worm's skin. The waste is stored in the rectum and removed through the anus.
