Porifera's
Porifera organisms refer to marine sponges found at the bottom of the ocean. Unlike other organisms, they do not have a stomach in which they digest their food. Instead they have flagellated chambers which capture their food, and color cells which ingest and absorb the nutrients from it. Porifera organisms have one of the most basic digestive systems on the planet. This evolutionary marvel allows sponges to survive at incredible depths where food is scarce. By utilizing this method, they make due with the tiny food particles in the air, and are able to flourish underwater.
